Dr. Mike Burgett
Dr. Burgett is OSU's pre-eminent Apiculturist and for many years, he oversaw the productive OSU Apiculture Research Lab. Dr. Burgett continues to conduct research into apiculture and crop pollination both here in Corvallis; but also spends a significant amount of time each year consulting about apiculture and advising students in Thailand.
Over the years, Dr. Burgett has contributed a number of unusual bees and other insects collected during his travels in Southeast Asia. He is a frequent visitor to the collection, where his good humor and cheer are always received with great pleasure.
